Canada, Canada --
“Would you like a drink?” I asked. Jeremy looked at me and said,” Yes please. It will make me feel better. Plus I am getting pretty thirsty.” I opened the back of the ambulance door and hopped out. I left the ambulance door open so Jeremy could have a bit of fresh air. I walked pass the doctors filling up the gas tank. I walked into the store and walked to the back of the store. I looked at all the different kinds of pops, juices, and snacks. There were so many. My favourite was root beer. I grabbed one of those. I then pick Jeremy up a coke. I didn’t know what kind of drinks he liked so I got him a coke. As I was about to turn and buy the drinks I heard the words Breaking News come from the television. I turned around and looked up at the screen hanging down from the ceiling. The person on the T.V. said,” Just a while ago teenager was shot in the arm. The suspect tried to run over the person that saved him but luckily he failed at doing that. The licence plate is sam-l12. If you see this plate call 911 immediately. The television then went to commercials. “Wow,” I said to myself,” I feel like a hero.” I then walked over to the counter and paid for the two drinks. I ran back to the ambulance. The doctors were waiting for me so I ran faster. I then hopped into the back of the ambulance and shut the door. Then we were off. We were now 15 minutes away from the hospital. Jeremy and I where quiet for a while. then I asked,” Jeremy, how old are you?” Jeremy looked at me and said,” I am fifteen. How old are you?” I looked at the floor and said,” I am thirty nine years old.” Jeremy nodded. “Why was the guy that shot your arm now about your father being rich? And how did your father become rich anyways?” Jeremy looked at me and said,” I don’t’ know how that guy knew my father was rich. Well here’s how my father became rich. My mother and father and mother divorced when I was only six. My father thought to show my mom who was better he opened up a company called We Have What You Need. I visited my dad ever other weekend. Every time I went there he was getting richer and richer, and his company became more famous each day. Then once when I was there my father said that when I was old enough that the company would be mine. I wasn’t really interested in the company. But I knew I had to do this for my father, Even though I wanted a normal job.” “So did this person know your father,” I asked. “Well he must have if he wanted 500 dollars from me,” Jeremy replied. Jeremy tried to lift his arm. He took his hand off the arm that was shot. There was blood all over his hand and arm. I put a big bandage around it to stop the bleeding. After I asked the doctors through the hole for a box of Kleenex. The passed a box through. I then wiped the blood off his hand and the blood around his bandage. I used thirteen tissues to get the blood of his hand alone. Jeremy laid down his arm on the bed we were sitting on. Then I handed him his drink. He took a big gulp of it. He then put the cap back on and put it down. I looked out the window to see where we were. We were at Park and E 77th street. We then turned into the emergency area. Once we stopped I opened the door and hopped out. The I helped poor old Jeremy out of the back. I looked up at the hospital. It was ten floors high. Then I noticed it was the down town hospital where I went to when I broke my leg. The hospital sign said Lenox Hill Hospital. I thought of the memories of when I broke my leg and came here. We walked into the emergency centre. There were two receptions sitting at the desk. I put Jeremy down in one of the waiting room chairs. I walked over to the desk and said,” We have a situation with the boy over there,” as I pointed to him. Then one of the receptionists asked,” What is wrong with him?” “He has a bullet wound in the arm,” I said. Then the receptionist asked,” Are you the father?” I replied,” No I am not. I found the poor kid lying on the ground in an alley way.” The receptionist looked at me for a while then said,” You are one hero.” Then I looked at her and said,” Thanks. Well how long will the wait be until we see a doctor about his wound?” The receptionist looked at me and said,” The wait will be an hour.” I looked behind me around the room. The only person in a chair was Jeremy. I asked,” Are the doctors on a break or something?” The receptionist replied,” No you have to go to the tenth floor. When you get out of the elevator walk to down the hallway to the left of the elevator. Then go to room 231. In there is a doctor for stabs, or shot wounds. Everyone says he is the best in New York.” Thank you,” I said. Then I walked back to Jeremy. I helped him up out of the seat he was sitting in. Then we walked over to the elevator. I pressed the up button and we waited for the elevator. Minutes later the elevator opened up and Jeremy and I walked in. Jeremy looked at me and said,” Why are we going up?” I said,” We have to go to the top floor to room 131. That room is called stabs or shot wounds care.” Jeremy nodded. Then I looked at the meter at the top of the elevator. It was going up very slowly. It read 5…6…7…8…9… then it said ten. Jeremy and I walked out of the elevator. Jeremy was going to go to the right but I told him we had to go to the left. Then we counted the room numbers. 125…126…127…128…129…130… Then there was room 131. I opened the door and let Jeremy in. We then both sat down in the waiting room chairs. We waited for the doctor to come out. I waited with Jeremy for a while. When the doctor came out I said,” Call your mother when you are out.” I gave him 5 dollars in quarters. Then I headed for the door. “Please don’t go,” Jeremy said. I looked at him and said,” Your mother will take you home I promise.” Jeremy put out his good arm like he was about to grab me and pull me back. I walked out the door, down the elevator, and out the door. I was walking home because my apartment was close enough to walk to. I was walking home thinking if Jeremy would be okay. “Should I go back?” I said to myself. Then I thought he is old enough to be on his own with a doctor. I was walking down the street when out of now where came this bright shining light. I noticed as it got closer it was a car. I hid behind a bush that was big enough to hide me. The car then stooped at the curb. Then someone got out of the car. This person didn’t have a mask on but I couldn’t tell who it was because there were no working street lights near by. I was hopping this person wouldn’t find me. I wasn’t sure who it was. I hoped it was some one nice that could give me a lift to my apartment. Then as he turned around I could see a gun in his pocket. I thought it could be someone that kept it on them for safety. Then they opened the back of their car. They pulled out a big leather jacket. Then they put on a black mask. Then I noticed something about their car. It seemed really familiar to me. Then of course he got an even bigger gun. It looked like a machine gun. Then he also pulled out a shot gun. It was funny he pulled out all the guns that the person that shot Jeremy had. The only one they didn’t pull out was the kind of gun I knocked out of the masked person’s hand. Then of course the most horrible thing happened to me. My phone started to ring. I tried every thin I could to keep they guy from hearing the ring. I tried to keep the noise down by putting part of my jacket over it. But it was too late. The masked man already heard the noise of the phone. He looked around to find where the noise was coming from. Then he walked over my way. He then looked behind the bush and found me. He then stared at me for a couple of minutes. Then he pulled me out of the bush. He ripped my jacket and then he pulled something out of his pocket. Something every one does not want to be in front of. Now I was in Jeremy’s position.
